A validator is a node in a proof-of-stake system responsible for storing data, processing transactions, and adding new blocks to the blockchain. To active validator software, you need to be able to stake 32 ETH. Holding KRON allows You to stake and receive a share of the rewards paid out from the Proof of stake transactions without having to invest 32 ETH.
